After the Greeks took over Troy, burning it to the ground, they are historically said to have taken all the Trojan women that survived; only to sell them as slaves among the remaining soldiers.

Anna-lee was young, just at the age to be wedded to one of the many young men of Troy. Only...they were gone now. Her small frame was doubled over with silent sobs; her arms were bound behind her, holding her to the beam that in turn held the living quarters up. She didn't know to whom she had been sold, but when she had resisted, it had earned her a split lip, which was now bleeding slightly. Her arms were bruised now from the Greeks roughly shoving her this way and that; and now, her feet rested underneath her, making it impossible to sit in the sand all the way. Her sobs rolled over her, making her back arch as she leaned forwards, her golden locks draped over her face and clinging to her damp cheeks. She cried over the loss of her brothers, and of her father. Her mother was gone as well, never to be seen again. She looked up just slightly as a group of Greeks marched past the door, some peeking in to make sure she was still there, tightly bound to the pole. Once they had passed she looked back down. What had they done to the gods to anger them so? Why were they being punished? Why did Apollo let troy fall? all these questions buzzed in her head, making it hard to listen for whomever it was who lived here's approach.
