He stood calmly awaiting what he assumed would be his doom. A look at him would show nothing of what he was thinking. Pry into his mind however and he you'd find yourself in to bowles of Hell itself. How dare they use him as a peace treaty! Peace! He began to hate the word. It was all just a dream. There is no such thing as peace. Still, he had no choice and so, he tried to look his best, his darkest, and his coldest. Maybe he could scare the girl off? That would solve a bunch of his problems. He was trying to decide whether he should try to outwit her to the point where she just couldn't stand him, or just be as rude as he could be. Either way, he needed some way out of this before he was bound to a mortal for the rest of...well, her life.

Kathryn sighed and gazed at her reflection in the mirror over her small makeup table. She had sweeping bronze colored hair that was plaited down her back, tied off with a white ribbon. Her face was fair and sprinkled with freckles, her nose short and rounded with deep blue eyes that had a few strands of hair framing them. Her lips were parted in a soft frown as she inspected the brushes and combs laying on the surface of the table. She was dressed in a silky white gown with a baby blue sash around her waist, tied in a bow at the back. She wasn’t ready to marry! And she didn’t even know the man she was to wed! The only thing she knew was that he was a vampire. She stood up and slipped stocking feet into a pair of slippers and padded over to a bookshelf in the room. She pulled out a novel and sat down in a wooden chair and gazed at the cover before opening it and beginning to read. At least she was granted peace for a while. but that was up too soon, soon she was taken to his room and left there

He didn't look up at her when she came in. He wondered whether he she even acknowledge that she was there at all. He could smell her, and she smelled like he expected, like a mortal. "I assume you are Kathryn?" he asked, "You know that I am Geoffrey, then?" He still did not look up at her.

"Of course not," he mused, "mortals hate Vampires, that's the way of things." He laughed lightly, but made no acusation of Vampires.
